There are some stories that arrive fully formed.
And then there are the ones that refuse to leave you alone.
This one started with a question:
What happens when the people who are supposed to protect you can no longer protect themselves?
From there came a city beginning to crumble.
A Council struggling to maintain control.
Creatures appearing where they shouldn’t exist.
People disappearing.
And a group of characters who are all carrying secrets of their own.
At the center of it all is Dean.
He’s a newly promoted sergeant who has spent most of his life believing that if he follows the rules, does his job, and protects the people around him, things will eventually work out.
Then his home comes crashing down.
Suddenly, Dean is thrown into a mission he never expected—and sent searching for someone he barely knows.
Juliet.
What starts as a search becomes something much bigger.
Because the deeper they go, the more obvious it becomes that something is very wrong.
And not everyone is telling the truth.
I’ve always loved stories where the world itself feels like another character—where the setting isn’t just something happening around the characters, but something that actively shapes who they become.
That’s a huge part of this series.
The city is falling apart.
So are the people inside it.
And I’m very excited for you to meet them.
More soon.
